Claims Achievement Award
The past year has really proved the value of the claims service that brokers, insurers and MGAs offer to clients as well as raising client expectations around cover. Has your firm stood up for a client and battled for a claim to be paid against the odds or turned the negative perception of the insurance industry into an opportunity? Have you introduced a new service that has benefitted all your clients? This award aims to recognise brokers, insurers and MGAs who have gone above and beyond in claims.
Entrants must be able to demonstrate positive results over the last 12 months [since January 2023].
This category is open to individuals and teams that meet the above criteria. Joint entries from brokers, insurers, MGAs and their claims partners are welcome.
Claims Product Solution of the Year
This award recognises a product solution that has enhanced and added value to a firm’s claims service.
Entrants must be able to demonstrate positive results over the last 12 months [since January 2023] from an overall strategy that has successfully delivered a stand-out product solution.
This category is open to insurer, MGA, broker or service provider firms (across personal or commercial lines) that meet the above criteria.
Claims Service Solution of the Year
This award recognises a service solution that has enhanced and added value to a firm’s claims service.
Entrants must be able to demonstrate positive results over the last 12 months [since January 2023] from an overall strategy that has successfully delivered a stand-out service or initiative.
This category is open to insurer, MGA, broker or service provider firms (across personal or commercial lines) that meet the above criteria.
Claims Startup
This category is open to all claims startups (launched since 1 January 2021) able to demonstrate that they have made a positive impact within the claims space.
Entrants should be able to demonstrate success in putting ideas into action. Innovation and original business ideas will be looked upon favourably. Customer/client testimonials will also be welcome.
Claims Training Excellence Award
This award recognises a company’s commitment to and investment in training and education for its claims management teams.
Entrants must be able to demonstrate positive results over the last 12 months [since January 2023] from an overall strategy that has resulted in tangible benefits for employees, business partners and/or end-clients, as well as for the business as a whole.
This category is open to insurers, brokers, MGAs and service provider firms that meet the criteria above.
Commercial Lines Claims Excellence Award
This category is designed to recognise commercial lines insurers with consistently high service standards within the claims space. Judges will be looking for an insurer that has made a demonstrable and positive difference to the commercial lines claims journey via the provision of standout services, products and/or advice. Entrants must provide evidence from the past year [since January 2023] of an initiative, or a well-managed claim or series of claims, that illustrates how the insurer stands out from its peers. Broker testimonials are welcome.
This category is open to commercial lines insurers.
Credit Hire Solution of the Year
This award recognises innovative approaches to delivering a mobility solution to clients while their vehicle is off the road due to a claim, either reducing claims costs or improving client service.
Entrants must be able to demonstrate positive results over the last 12 months [since January 2023] from an overall strategy that has successfully delivered a stand-out service for clients. The solution itself does not have to have been instigated over the last 12 months, but the results of the solution must have come to fruition over the last 12 months (since January 2023) and be clear for judges to understand.
This category is open to insurers, MGAs, brokers and service providers.
Customer Care Solution of the Year
This award recognises companies that go the extra mile to ensure outstanding levels of customer care.
Entrants must be able to evidence success over the last 12 months [since January 2023] from a strategy that has reaped tangible benefits for both their customers and their business as a whole.
This category is open to insurer, MGA, broker and service provider firms that meet the criteria above.
Fraud Solution of the Year
This award recognises companies that are leading the way in insurance fraud detection and/or prevention.
Entrants must be able to demonstrate positive results over the last 12 months [since January 2023] from a strategy that has successfully helped to identify and prevent fraudulent applicants and claimants. The solution does not have to have been instigated over the last 12 months, but the results of the solution must have come to fruition during that time [since January 2023] and be clear for judges to understand.
This category is open to fraud or claims teams within insurer, MGA, broker, claims management firms, or legal firms that meet the criteria above.
TEAM CATEGORIES
Claims Team of the Year
This award recognises an outstanding claims team from an insurer, broker, MGA or Claims Management business that has worked together to achieve positive outcomes for their organisation and/or customers and can demonstrate real impact.
Entrants must be able to evidence success over the last 12 months [since January 2023].
Counter-Fraud Team of the Year
This award recognises excellence by an outstanding counter-fraud unit from an insurer, broker, MGA or Claims Management business. The winning team must be able demonstrate a positive impact in the mission against fraud within claims in the UK general insurance market and how this has benefited their own business and/or customers.
Entrants must be able to evidence success over the last 12 months [since January 2023].
Legal Claims Management Team of the Year
This award recognises any legal claims management team that has worked to achieve positive outcomes for their insurer, MGA or broker clients that have had a demonstrable impact.
Entries are open to law firms able to evidence success over the past 12 months (since January 2023) from a strategy that has reaped tangible benefits.
Third Party Claims Management Team of the Year
This award recognises any third-party claims management or loss adjustor team that has worked together to achieve positive outcomes for their insurer, MGA or broker clients that have had a demonstrable impact.
Entrants must be able to evidence success over the last 12 months [since January 2023].
NOMINATED CATEGORIES
Claims Champion of the Year
This award celebrates an outstanding individual who is making a major contribution to general insurance claims and/or counter-fraud in the UK and a difference to the lives of their customers and/or their own business. The individual can come from any part of the claims industry: broker, insurer, MGA, law firm or claims management company.
This category is not open for entries but nominations are welcome and will be put forward for consideration by our expert judging panel. Please email events@insurancetimes.co.uk with the name of your nominee and tell us in a couple of paragraphs why you think this person deserves to be the Claims Champion of the Year.
The recipient will be revealed at the Awards Ceremony in May.
Young Achiever in Claims or Fraud
This award is open to an outstanding individual working in claims and/or counter-fraud within the UK general insurance industry aged 30 or under on the closing date of 1st March 2024.
The recipient will have demonstrated both personal and professional commitment to the industry, enjoying the respect and admiration of their peers over a period of years. In their functional specialism, they will have excelled across the board, enjoying success and demonstrably impacting individuals, businesses and ideally the UK general insurance industry as a whole.
This category is not open for entries but nominations are welcome and will be put forward for consideration by our expert judging panel. If you would like to recognise one of your team members, please email us at events@insurancetimes.co.uk with their name and details about their work, impact and success. Clear milestones achieved in their professional development will be particularly welcome. Please note, all nominations must be supported by the nominee's manager and received by 1st March 2024.
